During the Second World War, the Canadian army not only fought in Europe, but also on the home front. A group of women risk their lives at a Toronto arms factory. Despite a great diversity in origin and social class, these women grow closer to each other. In an anxious time, but at the same time liberated from previous social limitations, they all go through personal changes.
