Avenida Brasil plot
The series follows the story of Rita, a sweet young girl who is dumped in a garbage dump by her evil, money-hungry stepmother Carminha. After being subjected to child labor, starvation, and abuse, Rita is eventually adopted by an Argentinian family, who give her the name Nina, and a better life. Years later, she decides to return to Brazil to take revenge on her evil stepmother, and all the others who wronged her as a child.
