Anne plot
Anne is set in the last years of the nineteenth century. A brave orphaned child with great passions finds an unexpected home with a hardy, unmarried woman and her gentle, single brother in a conservative village. This misfit fights for love, acceptance and a place in the world. Over time, the 13-year-old orphan transforms the lives of the villagers and learns to live with her unique imagination.

Pretty irresistible, this easy-going yet sharp series about Anne, an orphaned child who finds an unexpected home at the end of the 19th century with a hardened, unmarried woman and her meek, single brother. Beautiful characters, beautiful storylines and a lot of atmosphere, partly due to the beautiful nature shots. It takes some getting used to the crazy, eccentric personality of the lead actress, but soon she grabs you and doesn't let go. Looking forward to the next seasons.

A nice surprise this series, especially because it is just well made and nicely balanced. Kind of a quirky version of Little House on the Prairie or something.
