1994 plot
After the collapse of the government, and with it the First Republic, Italy changed forever in 1994. Leonardo Notte is all too aware of this. He went out of his way to see Berlusconi become prime minister. He knows it is not easy to gain power, but holding on to it borders on the impossible. Likewise, it seems equally impossible for populist politician Pietro to change. Even now that he has an office in the Prime Minister's building in Rome, he still cannot shed his old bad habits. Nor can he forget the only woman he ever loved. A former TV star turned politician and congresswoman, Veronica must decide who will be the man of her life. She has realized that she no longer wants to be just a woman at the arms of powerful men. It is the beginning of her own drive for power.
