Eric Higgins, an Arkansas sheriff, was concerned about the high recidivism rates and poor conditions in the jails in the community he had worked for his entire career. He had a bold idea: He wanted to change incarceration in a Little Rock prison through a social experiment that would provide a real alternative for the men inside its walls. This documentary series shows how prisoners gain more control over their lives, in the hope that it will lead to a more community-oriented living environment.
