The series combines extraordinary archive footage with emotionally compelling first-hand accounts of people to create an intimate, multigenerational portrait of Northern Ireland's past, present and future, with an emphasis on understanding and empathy for all points of view.

Prangende en hartverscheurende getuigenissen over een maatschappij die gedurende vele jaren in haatvolle onmin leefde. Veel leed, veel slachtoffers, en het is altijd erger dan het lijkt. Sterke documentaire waarbij men zich voor de zoveelste keer kan afvragen "Waarom ?".

Pressing and heartbreaking testimonies about a society that lived in hateful discord for many years.

Lots of suffering, many victims, and it is always worse than it seems.

Strong documentary that makes one wonder for the umpteenth time "Why?".
