Pushing Daisies is about the life of Ned, a pie baker with the mysterious ability to bring dead things back to life by touching them. There are a number of conditions to this somewhat unusual talent. Ned quickly learns that if something is revived for more than exactly a minute, something else will "let life" in the environment of the original dead, as a form of balance. Moreover, if he touches the revived person or thing a second time, it dies again, but this time permanently.
