Spectacular six-part documentary series about surfing pioneer Garrett McNamara who, after a visit to the small fishing village of Nazaré in Portugal, becomes convinced that the village can be transformed into the world's leading surfing destination for high waves. The images of surfing the extremely high waves are truly breathtakingly beautiful and the charismatic McNamara is a fascinating protagonist. The combination of fun interviews with all kinds of colorful figures from surfing and impressive camera work make this an entertaining series. Followed by a second series of six episodes.
