Task plot

I don't agree with the negative reviews; the series is raw, but with a personal touch. It's an excellent series that stands head and shoulders above the water currently being shown.

Task is a character drama with original and subtle storylines, excellent leads, and exciting and gripping plot twists. After a series of violent robberies, a task force is formed around FBI agent Tom Brandis (Mark Ruffalo). Tom Pelphrey provides a strong contrast to Ruffalo as a suspect and family man. All the roles are well-cast, but Emilia Jones perhaps makes the most impression as Maeve. Showrunner Brad Ingelsby—responsible for the equally gripping and raw Mare of Easttown—turns the seven-part series into a peerless and stylish thriller drama. Task is a magnificent slow-burner and a contender for Best Series of 2025.
