Sneaky Pete plot
Marius (Giovanni Ribisi) is a recently released prisoner who takes on the identity of his cellmate Pete Murphy to escape his past. The people around him seem to believe him - or do they not? I've only just started the first season, but what a wonderful series this was. I found it primarily a comedy series that shouldn't be taken too seriously, like Fargo, I'd say.
I loved the two stars in this series, of course the wonderful character actress Margo Martindale, not a very well-known name, but a very familiar face, and then Bryan Cranston, who is truly amazing.
I'm a little worried that the next two seasons will be a bit less exciting, and whether it can remain that way. We'll see...

After master con artist Marius Josipovic (Giovanni Ribisi) completes his sentence, he devises a plan to quickly repay a debt he and his brother owe to crime boss Vince (Bryan Cranston, also creator and writer). He moves in with distant relatives. Sneaky Pete is a dark comedy, in which Marius, like Ferris Bueller, tries to stay one step ahead of everyone.
But as sometimes happens when removing a stain, it only gets worse. Sneaky Pete isn't innovative or refreshing, but the clever and observant Marius brilliantly steals the lead role with his tricks. With a touch of Fargo and Catch Me If You Can, Sneaky Pete is an entertaining crime comedy that, while dramatically flat, still provides plenty of entertainment.
