Conversations with a Killer: The Son of Sam Tapes plot

A docuseries chronicling one of the largest manhunts in New York City history, the series takes viewers inside the NYPD's desperate race to catch the notorious .44-caliber killer—and inside the disturbing mind of David Berkowitz himself. Newly discovered recordings offer rare insight into his warped psyche, revealing his innermost thoughts as he unleashed a reign of terror in the late 1970s. Alongside personal accounts from officers, journalists, and survivors, the series reveals how fear spread through the streets, fueled by cryptic letters, a hysterical press, and a killer who seemed to be everywhere and nowhere at once.
