Angela Henson is a good student with a loving family and dreams of becoming a doctor. Then Angela learns at the age of fourteen that her parents are CIA agents, suspected of treason for selling state secrets to the enemy. With her parents in prison, Angela takes a job as an FBI agent in New York City. Her specialty is knowing when both suspects and victims are lying. However, the past won't let Angela go, causing her to distrust others and close herself off to her new boyfriend Peter and younger brother Jerry.
