Tweede Hans plot
The 64-year-old Hans is happily married to Marleen. When Hans has to retire, he loses much of his identity. Who is he without this job? Should he enjoy? From what? His relationship with Marleen and other loved ones comes under strain as he desperately searches for a new meaning in his life. With the new camper that Hans and his wife buy from his pension bonus, they want to go on the road, but for the time being, little seems to have come of it. Meanwhile, Hans tries to find his way in this new phase of life, but runs past himself. Until he realizes that it's not about what you do, but who you are. Fortunately, the music of the shanty choir offers comfort and humor.
