Season 2 of Modern Love features eight short contemporary love stories based on John Carney's New York Times columns. These 30 minute miniatures (sometimes a little more, sometimes even less) make up a romantic anthology series. The new love, the lost love, the unrequited love; they are all featured. The quality of the eight episodes is average to high.

The clever thing is that a story with head and tail is told in half an hour. Okay, sometimes that happens with (too) big jumps in the scenario or an abrupt end. I like the first and last episode the best, episode 6 with Anna Paquin starts rather messy. A fine series, which ultimately does not stick because of the fragmentation.
