Jury Duty plot

This documentary-style comedy series follows the workings of the American jury trial through the eyes of Ronald Gladden. During a normal trial, jurors are not allowed to reveal details about the case they are adjudicating. But this is not a normal thing. Everything is fake, including everyone involved. Except Ronald Gladden, he thinks everything is real.

More of the same. Just like in the first season, a completely fictional world is constructed for one likable underdog. It is a delightful blend of fiction and reality television. Although, during this season, I did doubt its authenticity a little too often. It seems, after all, as arch-good guy Anthony keeps doing exactly what makes him even nicer and more heroic. Right up to the final act in which he steps up as a guardian angel to save his colleagues from an aggressive takeover by another company. Could it really be true!? I have my doubts, but otherwise, 'Jury Duty: Company Retreat' scores again with its delightful characters and corny office humor. You secretly hope the magic is real when they reveal in the final episode just how ambitious and large-scale this second season is supposed to be.
