I Dream of Jeannie plot

US Air Force Captain Tony Nelson finds himself stranded on a deserted island after his space capsule deviates from its planned route. He finds a strange bottle here. When he opens the bottle, Jeannie, a female genie called a jinn, emerges. Tony is shocked at first, but soon realizes that he can take advantage of these jinn. At first he cannot understand her until he wishes she could speak English. He also wishes to be rescued from the island.
