De Kotmadam plot

The series is set in the student city of Leuven, where Jeanne runs a candy store: Het Snoephuisje. The shop is adjacent to her house, where she makes five student rooms available. Jeanne is married to Jef Liefooghe. He works in the city's public garden, but is not really handy and certainly not a hard worker. For domestic chores, Jeanne and Jef often call on their family friend Odilon, a gullible warden who works in the Leuven Central prison. The students who rent a room at 'kotmadam' Jeanne have very diverse characters and backgrounds, from real study freaks to lazy party animals.
