Chickens plot
In the small, sleepy village of Rittle-on-Sea in England, three boys, Cecil, George and Bert, are left behind while all the other men from the village go to the front to fight in the First World War. Cecil would love to join the fight, but he is physically unable to do so. George refuses to join the fight because he is firmly against the war. Bert is simply too stupid to even notice that a war is going on. In the village there is little to do for the three and the ladies do not see them because they are labeled as cowards.
