Appel & Uitje are the misfits in a city full of shiny, produced food. But they themselves do not experience this as something negative. Even if they know nothing about the rules and norms of urban life, they can't wait to get in touch with them. Everything is new and exciting for Appel en Uitje. They look at everything with an open mind and that makes for a fun, unexpected and often enlightening look at modern life.
