The Chosen plot

The Chosen is a historical drama based on the life and gospel of Jesus of Nazareth. The series is a new and modern retelling by adding fictional storylines without losing sight of the original writings of the four Gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Set primarily in Judea and Galilee in the first century during the time of Roman oppression, the story is told from the perspectives of various characters who met and followed Jesus. Throughout the series, Jesus' many miracles and speeches are discussed, but extensive attention is also paid to His followers such as Peter, Matthew and Mary of Magdala.
