Mars plot
The year is 2033 and the first manned mission to Mars in human history is finally about to take place. Even with the best training and equipment available, the Daedalus crew must endure inhumane situations to establish the first successful colony on Mars. How bad. This is mainly a boring and long-winded promo video of Elon Musk for his company SpaceX. In 2033, according to this documentary, his company will be the monopolist in space travel and will receive the money from the government for space travel. The 'movie' is packed with fake interviews, several times with Elon Musk, about this trip to Mars. There are so many that they become very annoying in the long run.
The acting is not good, the voice-over is bone dry, and the melodramatic and theatrical tone also gets boring very quickly. You would expect a mix of reality and fiction, but this is pure fiction packaged as a fake documentary. From a scientific point of view, it does not make you any wiser, everyone can come up with the ideas that this fake documentary develops. It's more fantasy than sci-fi, so dramatized that it's not inferior to a B-level TV movie.
No, then give me Space Odyssey: Voyage to the Planets (2004), at least there's real science in that. 1*
