Crime and punishment for psychopaths. 'Mouse' (2021) is a delightful morality fable about the existence of evil in the brain wiring of some people. How far should a society go in punishing child murderers and serial rapists? Should victims and relatives be given more rights to indulge their feelings of revenge? And is forgiveness even possible for psychopaths in a religious sense? Truly one of the better South Korean series. The grimy, gloomy, and somber atmosphere. The outspoken characters who add some warmth to the dark whole. The SF element is initially a bit silly, but it fits the chosen theme wonderfully. You know you're watching a good series when the ending evokes so many different emotions.
