Kleo plot

Spy thriller that follows Kleo Straub, an East German spy who is betrayed by her own people after committing an attack in West Berlin in the late 1980s and ends up in prison. Two years later, after the fall of the wall, she is suddenly set free again and decides to take revenge on the people who framed her.

Still a lot less than the first season. 'Kleo' always had a high comic book content, but now it's getting very generous with various one-dimensional villains. Also very predictable and unbelievable. It doesn't help that I saw almost all the big plot twists coming myself. To the point that I was confused when it was revealed that Ciana works for the CIA or that Nikolai Zhukov is actually Kleo's father. Although 'Kleo' still looks exceptionally well-groomed for a European production. With those atmospheric sets and fresh colors. I wouldn't skip a third season.

I watched two seasons of Kleo and really enjoyed it. For the third season, featuring Harald, they'll unfortunately have to come up with some truly new developments to avoid repetition and thus a rut. The mix of plot, humor, and occasional action makes this series a joy to watch. The entire setting also contributes positively to that.
