Bloodaxe (2027)

Bloodaxe plot

It is the year 927 AD. In the icy, rugged landscapes of Norway, the legendary but aging King Harald Fairhair lies on his deathbed. His impending death tears a deep chasm through the kingdom: the throne of Norway is vacant, and the brothers are already at war even before the king has breathed his last. Amidst this chaos stands Erik Bloodaxe, the most feared and ruthless warrior of the Viking world. Erik is determined to claim the throne. However, he does not fight alone. By his side stands his wife, the Danish princess Gunnhild. While Erik provides brute force on the battlefield, behind the scenes Gunnhild manipulates and forges political alliances with her diplomatic shrewdness. Her vision is grand: she wants not only to become queen, but also to be known as the 'Mother of Kings'.
