The life of Anne Boleyn, one of the eight wives of Henry VIII and Queen of England from 1533 to 1536, is followed, especially the last few months of her life. She could not provide Henry with a male heir, so he was not satisfied with her; a little later she was suspected of treason against the Crown, and the lives of both her and her daughter Elizabeth, for whom she wanted to secure a good future, were uncertain. In answer to the question whether she was guilty or not, she replied, "The world will know my innocence." Was Anne Boleyn indeed a traitor, or innocent?
