Knightfall plot
The Order of the Knights Templar was one of the most powerful, wealthy and mysterious military orders of the Middle Ages, charged with protecting the most expensive Christian relic - the Holy Grail - and safeguarding secrets that would allow for great destruction. Knightfall recounts the fall, persecution and burnings of the Templars, as orchestrated by Popes Clement V and Philip IV of France on Friday, October 13, 1307. At its center is Templar leader Sir Landry, a courageous fighter disheartened by the Templars' failure in the Holy Land, which is revived by the news that the Holy Grail has surfaced.

Good series about the Templars. SOMETHING based on true facts, namely the fact that King Philip was trying to dismantle the Templars. Here they have made a beautiful romantic-epic story, which is wonderful to look away. I even hesitated between 3.5 and 4 stars.

I think it's an interesting theme, were it not for the fact that the execution is appallingly bad. Very badly acted, and empty; it's just not all. Doesn't match the quality of series like the last kingdom of Vikings for example. Season 2 seems to be better…but still I will leave it at 1 season.
