Stuart Fails to Save the Universe plot

In the future, Stuart Bloom, the owner of a comic book store, is tasked with restoring reality after breaking a device built by Sheldon and Leonard, accidentally causing a multiverse apocalypse. Stuart is aided in this quest by his girlfriend Denise, his friend Bert, a geologist, and quantum physicist Barry Kripke, a general troublemaker. Along the way, they encounter alternate-universe versions of themselves and their friends.
