Cape Fear plot
Anna and Tom Bowde are a happily married lawyer couple. Their carefully constructed lives are turned upside down when Max Cady, a notorious murderer they helped put behind bars years ago, is unexpectedly released from prison. I absolutely did not find this to be a top series, and indeed a long-winded, unnecessary remake. Bardem is sometimes a fantastic actor, like in my favorite movie "Mar Adentro," but I absolutely did not think this was his best role; he was rather weak. I give the three stars mainly for the fantastic Amy Adams; otherwise, it is a series that won't appear on many lists of the best series of 2026, which I understand very well.
It's not interesting enough and it just takes way too long....
