The Assassin plot
Isolated on a remote Greek island, retired hitman Julie finds himself in a somewhat awkward reunion with her estranged son, Edward, who is visiting from England. Armed with questions about new information about his paternity, Edward struggles to find the right moment to talk to his frustratingly distant mother. But when the moment finally arrives, things take a deadly turn as Julie’s dangerous past catches up with her, forcing them to flee the island and go on the run together. Edward’s search for the truth collides with Julie’s secrecy as they are forced to work together in a fight for survival

I thought this series was pretty good. Not that it was a masterpiece within this genre, but it was easy to watch; just relaxing. The bickering between Julie and Edward did get a bit too much at some point, though. The cast was decent, but the most surprising thing for me was definitely "the Dutchman" Jasper de Voogdt; instead of casting a Dutch actor for this, suddenly there stood the Danish actor David Dencik, known from, among others, Kastanjemanden - Season 1 (2021).
