Atlanta plot

Earnest 'Earn' Marks is followed during his daily life in Atlanta, Georgia. Earn dropped out of Princeton University, has no money and no home. He therefore alternately stays with his parents and his ex-girlfriend Van, who is also the mother of his daughter Lottie. Once he realizes that his cousin Alfred "Paper Boi" Miles is on the brink of stardom, he tries to reconnect with him to improve his life and that of his daughter. The two cousins soon work their way up the Atlanta rap scene.

Bij het fantastische eerste seizoen zei ik nog dat ik niet zeker was of ik wel op een vervolg zat te wachten, maar toen ik zag dat seizoen 2 er definitief zou komen, keek ik er toch gelijk naar uit. En ook het tweede seizoen is een succes, met veel subtiele humor, absurditeiten en andere bizarre situaties. Ook kan elke aflevering eigenlijk geheel op zichzelf staan en aldus bekeken worden, wat mee de kracht van Atlanta bepaalt. Barbershop, Teddy Perkins en North of the Border steken er bovenuit, maar het niveau is weer constant en hoog, en ik ben reuze benieuwd wat Glover in de toekomst nog voor ons in petto heeft (al mag dat evengoed met andere projecten). 4 sterren

At the fantastic first season I said that I wasn't sure if I was waiting for a sequel, but when I saw that season 2 was definitely coming, I was looking forward to it right away. And the second season is also a success, with lots of subtle humor, absurdities and other bizarre situations. Also, each episode can actually stand alone and be viewed in this way, which helps determine the power of Atlanta.

Barbershop, Teddy Perkins and North of the Border stand out, but the level is steady and high again, and I'm really curious to see what Glover has in store for us in the future (although that may just as well be the case with other projects).
