Inspector Morse plot

Morse is an intelligent bachelor with a romantic streak and good taste. He likes architecture, classical music and classic cars, but also a good glass of beer. He is also not always very tactical with his subordinate, adjutant Lewis. The university city of Oxford is the setting for their investigations into mysterious murder cases.

Re-watching Morse after quite some time, and I'm enjoying it. The flaw of detective series is also its appeal; a new murder case every 'week' and, in this series, often multiple murders following feels a bit forced, but it serves as an excellent framework for all sorts of reflections and observations, mostly from Morse himself. The dated Oxford (and surroundings) atmosphere remains delightful, but I fear younger viewers won't pick up on it anymore...?

A 9 was a bit too much of a good thing, but I won't go lower than a respectable 7!
