Luther plot

For Inspector John Luther, solving crimes is not work. It's a calling. Luther is a brilliant detective, who keeps his own laws and rules and regularly amazes his colleagues with his keen insight. With full dedication he takes on the psychological duel with psychopaths, murderers... and the demons that dwell within himself. For Luther has a troubled mind. At times he is friendly and vulnerable, at other times tough and even violent. Given the latter, some wonder whether he is not primarily driven by an urge to self-destruct. But the only person Luther talks to about such matters is Alice, the beautiful murderess with whom, to his surprise, he feels a kind of connection...

Not much to say about this season. Shame to make a 2 episode season. Should have skipped that year. In addition, this season really did not have the level of the previous seasons. The villain in this story was interesting and something completely different from previous seasons, but that's about it. Idris Elba was a bit weaker than in the previous seasons and I didn't find the two new detectives very interesting either. Wondering if they can make ate stronger again next season.

With only two episodes, you can't really call this a series, but oh well. Idris Elba is excellent as always in the lead role, but the plot falls short here and there, especially in the second episode. It is still exciting and intense at times, but this time it doesn't want to be as good as previous episodes.
