Again a media event aimed at pointing out the man as a sinner. The series about this become predictable and a cliché. Even a revenue model. I once took it seriously but this is becoming more and more of a 13-in-1-dozen story and quantity trumps quality.

Of course, the (fictional) story could certainly have happened but in this (fictional) series you already know from the first accusations that the other 5 episodes the man gets stuck, all accusations are of course true and that only the woman can be believed become. Quantitative smear training in which the equality between men and women has been completely lost sight of.

From creator David E. Kelley (Nine Perfect Strangers, Goliath, The Undoing) we know the predilection for dramas set in high-class environments or in court. Or both. Likewise in Anatomy of a Scandal. But what else can Kelley add to usually static courtroom dramas? Not much, it turns out. Anatomy of a Scandal is another typical, slick Netflix production. Which almost nowhere falls through the lower limit, but which is also not very exciting.

It's entertaining, though, and the plot twists (which are pretty unbelievable by the way) keep the series a bit lively. The acting is good. The deception follows in episode 6 when all ends have to be tied together. Perhaps the biggest flaw is the predictability, just like in The Undoing. Is there anyone who didn't see this coming after episode 1? I am nevertheless curious what Kelley can make of The Lincoln Lawyer.

As a big fan of both court and political series, this seemed like something to me. But I have to say I won't go any further than 2 stars. Although the acting is okay. The storyline is far fetched and also very unbelievable. At times I even found it hilarious. Good if the underlying idea was to portray the man in the story as a predator and the woman as an innocent deer. In any case, the mission has been accomplished.

A plot twist (episode 4) can work very well, but this one was really too much for my taste. It has to be a little believable!

Sienna Miller is such an absurdly beautiful woman, especially for that reason I would like to give this series at least 3 stars.

Furthermore, a fairly politically correct series in which the #metoo discussion is approached from as many sides as possible, but ultimately mainly the progressive side that says that men are predators and women are actually always right in these kinds of matters. A prosecutor who says she's sure the victim isn't lying just because she comes across as genuine in her testimony. Doesn't seem like the intent of the law to me.

There are still some minor nuances ("the boundaries used to be vaguer"), but in general it is too politically correct for me. By the way, Rupert Friend also seems like a bit of a dick in everyday life, so he certainly knows how to play that role.

Very fascinating political mini-series, watched in one go. Next opt list is 'Red Election'
