Mijn eerste kennismaking met deze ontzettend bekende en geliefde sitcom is ook positief. Eerlijk is eerlijk, het is niet zo dat ik elke minuut van Friends dubbel lig. Desalniettemin zijn er genoeg grappen per aflevering die effectief zijn, waardoor ik vaak probleemloos drie afleveringen achter elkaar kan kijken. De serie heeft veel te danken aan het goed geschreven script en het leuke sfeertje dat constant aanwezig is, maar het hoogtepunt is ongetwijfeld de vriendengroep op zich. De cast doet het super en het is geweldig om te zien hoe de personages in de loop van het seizoen echt tot leven komen. Daar ik tijdens de eerste aflevering naar Jennifer Aniston en Courteney Cox zat te kijken, keek ik tijdens de laatste aflevering naar Rachel en Monica. Het waren echter voor mij met name het sarcasme van Chandler en de, helaas herkenbare, onhandigheid van Ross die mij het meest aan het lachen wisten te brengen. 4*

My first introduction to this very well-known and beloved sitcom is also positive. To be fair, it's not like I'm doubled over every minute of Friends. Nevertheless, there are enough jokes per episode that are effective, often allowing me to watch three episodes in a row without any problems. The series owes a lot to the well-written script and the fun atmosphere that is constantly present, but the highlight is undoubtedly the group of friends themselves. The cast is doing a great job and it's great to see the characters really come to life over the course of the season. Since I was watching Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox on the first episode, I was watching Rachel and Monica on the last episode. For me, however, it was Chandler's sarcasm and Ross's, unfortunately recognizable, clumsiness that made me laugh the most.

Het zijn voor mij de eerste afleveringen Friends die ik ooit gezien heb, maar het eerste seizoen heeft mij positief verrast. De humor is goed, de personages zijn leuk en ook de verhaallijnen wisten te boeien. Mijn favoriete personage is Chandler, een mooi cynisch personage. De serie heeft wel, net als veel andere oudere series, last van zwak geschreven vrouwelijke personages. De mannen zijn hier enorm grappig, terwijl de vrouwen vooral irritant zijn. Ik sta niet per se te popelen om het volgende seizoen gelijk te kijken, maar ik denk wel dat het er een keer van gaat komen. Lekkere wegkijk-serie.

For me they are the first episodes of Friends I've ever seen, but the first season surprised me positively. The humor is good, the characters are fun and the story lines were captivating. My favorite character is Chandler, a pretty cynical character. The series does, like many other older series, suffer from weakly written female characters. The men are very funny here, while the women are especially annoying.

I'm not necessarily eager to watch the next season right away, but I do think it will one day. Nice looking series.

Eindeloos herkijkbare serie vol fantastisch leuke personages, leuke verhaallijnen, geslaagde grappen, prima scenario's, perfecte lengte en tempo, ... . Blijft tot op heden voor mij misschien wel de beste serie in zijn genre. Oh wat zou een nieuw seizoen leuk zijn .

Endless rewatchable series full of fantastically fun characters, fun storylines, successful jokes, great scenarios, perfect length and pace, ... . To me it remains perhaps the best series of its genre. Oh how nice a new season would be .
