Cadfael plot

Brother Cadfael has been living in seclusion in a Benedictine monastery for years. After a life as a merchant and crusade soldier, he has had enough of his hectic life and decides to dedicate his life to God as a monk. He uses herbs and plants to heal sick brothers and village and local people. He has fantastic analytical skills, rock-solid logic and great people skills. The sheriff, Hugh Beringar, therefore regularly calls on Cadfael when he is distraught trying to solve crimes or murders in the area. Cadfael often needs a small clue to shed a completely different light on the matter
