Over Water plot

Former TV star John Beckers gets one last chance from his wife Marjan and their two children to get his life back on track. After a stay in the rehab clinic, he therefore set to work with renewed courage in the port, at his father-in-law's family forwarding company. John soon finds himself in the loop of the most dangerous and lucrative trade on the docks: cocaine. Will he be able to contain his old demons and try to resist new temptations in this rock-hard world?

Zelf heb ik de indruk dat het één serie is, die in twee helften is uitgezonden. Het tweede seizoen heeft een duidelijk slot. Zó duidelijk dat er geen derde seizoen zal komen.

I personally have the impression that it is one series, which was broadcast in two halves. The second season has a clear ending. So obvious that there won't be a third season.

Een buitengewoon saaie en oninteressante reeks, het tweede seizoen nog meer dan het eerste. Het helpt ook niet dat protagonist John een onbetrouwbare en onsympathieke rotzak is waardoor het niet uitmaakt of hij nu opgepakt wordt of in de Noordzee valt en vermalen wordt in de motor van een vrachtschip. Veel schrijfwerk is er ook niet aan voorafgegaan. Clever is het scenario al helemaal niet. Geeuwen en gapen, elke aflevering opnieuw.

An exceptionally dull and uninteresting series, the second season even more so than the first. It doesn't help that protagonist John is an unreliable and unsympathetic bastard, so it doesn't matter whether he gets arrested or falls into the North Sea and is crushed in the engine of a freighter. Not much writing went into it either. The scenario is certainly not clever. Yawning and gaping, every episode again.
