Ook het tweede seizoen is weer aardig. Niet echt dijen kletsen van het lachen, maar de constante stroom aan snedige opmerkingen vol technische en wetenschappelijke referenties is erg vermakelijk. Plus een aantal stereotypen die erg dik aangezet zijn en daarom vermakelijk zijn. Met name Sheldon, die laat in het seizoen eindelijk voor het eerst zijn catchfrase "Bazinga!" gebruikt, maar ook Howard, die ontzettend oversekst is en onvermijdelijk steeds een blauwtje loopt. Ook dit seizoen is redelijk constant in kwaliteit. Leukste aflevering is misschien "The Cooper–Nowitzki Theorem" waarin Sheldon een vrouwelijke bewonderaar blijkt te hebben, maar de andere episoden blijven niet ver achter. Verder in de serie een aantal fijne nerd-momenten, zoals het zoeken naar het America's Next Top Model huis met hypermoderne technologie en Sheldons flowchart om vriendschappen aan te gaan. Een tikkeltje beter misschien dan het vorige seizoen, maar niet genoeg om een hogere waardering te krijgen. 3,5* dus.

The second season is also good. Not exactly your thighs with laughter, but the constant stream of witty comments full of technical and scientific references is very entertaining. Plus a number of stereotypes that are very bold and therefore entertaining. Notably, Sheldon, who finally made his catchphrase "Bazinga!" for the first time late in the season. uses, but also Howard, who is terribly oversexed and inevitably walks out on a limb.

This season is also fairly constant in quality. Funniest episode might be "The Cooper–Nowitzki Theorem" in which Sheldon turns out to have a female admirer, but the other episodes aren't far behind. Also in the series are some nice geek moments, such as searching for America's Next Top Model house with cutting-edge technology and Sheldon's flowchart for making friends.

A tad better maybe than last season, but not enough to get a higher rating. 3.5* so.

Favoriet blijft Jim Parsons , absoluut fantastisch met zijn Sheldon-vertolking. Zo moeilijk kan hij doen of zo wereldvreemd als hij reageert. Personages worden in dit seizoen wat verder uitgediept. Humor blijft van een hoog niveau.

Favorite remains Jim Parsons , absolutely fantastic with his Sheldon rendition. He can be as difficult or as unworldly as he reacts. Characters are further deepened in this season. Humor remains of a high level.

Zelfde elan als seizoen 1 en misschien het beste seizoen. Goed seizoensbegin, maar seizoensfinale is iets minder. Hoogtepunten zijn aflevering 7, de drie afleveringen 8-9-10, aflevering 11, 13, 15, 16 en 18. Het laatste kwart van dit seizoen vind ik persoonlijk een stuk minder. Aflevering 11 vind ik één van de mooiste serie. Aflevering 15 is misschien wel de grappigste, of zeker een grote contender. En 7 is ook memorabel.

Same elan as season 1 and maybe the best season. Good season start, but season finale is a bit less. Highlights are episode 7, the three episodes 8-9-10, episodes 11, 13, 15, 16 and 18. I personally like the last quarter of this season a lot less.

Episode 11 is one of my favorite series. Episode 15 is arguably the funniest, or definitely a big contender. And 7 is also memorable.
