In the first season it is still mainly about the four nerd friends and their new neighbor. Sheldon played by Jim Parsons plays his part really great, when you see Sheldon you start laughing. He also portrays autism in a beautiful way. Just awesome.
Top series that makes you laugh from episode 1 onwards. Season 1 is a must-have for a fan of this series, you get to know the protagonists well.

Was never a big fan of this series, especially because of that annoying laugh track. Now that it's on Netflix I was able to watch it chronologically once and it was actually fun. Howard in particular provides comedic moments.

Not the first time I've seen a comedy series slip through marriage because it's all about marriage preparation.
This season is also about an upcoming marriage, namely that of Howard, which they should never have let go to the wife. So instead of him going after the women with strange ideas in vain, we get that marriage crap. And instead of jokes about technology, science and science fiction, we get more and more of that typical American humor that focuses on awkward situations (for example the bachelor party, but also the painting of Amy).
Characters that used to be fun aren't anymore. Howard I've already mentioned, but it's just as true of Amy, whose personality seems to be at odds with how she was introduced: interested in social contact, all the time stupidly gushing over Penny, and trying to get deeper contact with Sheldon (admittedly, the episode where Amy uses transference and suggestion to make him feel stronger was nice). Raj is certainly not fun anymore with jokes all the time about not being gay but appearing like one.
It may be obvious. Just like the last time I saw the series, I'm also dropping out after this season. 1*. Seeing an episode of subsequent seasons on an airplane makes it clear to me that things have only gotten worse after this season.
