Chris Pratt says he definitely won't be donning Indiana Jones' famous hat and whip after being put off by comments from the man who made the character, Harrison Ford.
The Indiana Jones franchise is one of the most popular and beloved in the history of film, with four movies being made so far.
Raiders of the Lost Ark was released in 1981, and that was followed up by The Temple of Doom in 1984 and The Last Crusade in 1989.
After a 19-year hiatus, Ford returned to the role for a fourth installment, 2008's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
Indiana Jones 5 is currently in production and will be directed by James Mangold.
Ford recently turned 80 so it is likely that the fifth entry in the series will be his last, and according to the man himself, once he retires, Indy retires.
"Nobody else is going to be Indiana Jones," Ford said on the Today show in 2019.
"Don't you get it? I'm Indiana Jones. When I'm gone, he's gone."
Pratt, then, certainly won't be taking on the role, as he said on the Happy Sad Confused podcast.
"No, aren't they doing 'Indiana Jones' with Harrison Ford? All I know is I once saw a quote from Harrison Ford and I don't even know if it was really him, but it was enough to scare me, that was like, 'When I die, Indiana Jones dies.'
"And I'm like, am I going to get haunted by the ghost of Harrison Ford one day when he dies if I play…?"
Who will star in Indiana Jones 5?
Not a lot is known about the fifth entry of the franchise beyond the cast which includes Ford, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Boyd Holbrook, Shaunette Renee Wilson, Toby Jones, Antonio Banderas, and Olivier Richters.
For the fourth movie, shooting was largely kept to the United States, but the fifth is set to go international.
Extensive filming has been completed in Scotland at locations in Biggar, Glencoe and Glasgow City Centre.
Other locations included London, Sicily and Morocco.
