Some fans reckon that Daniel Radcliffe deserves an audition to be the next Wolverine after spotting his ripped physique in the television series Miracle Workers.
Within Miracle Workers, Radcliffe plays a different character in every season, and in the fourth, he features as a 'Road Warrior' in a post-apocalyptic wasteland akin to Fury Road. In one episode, he strips down to his pants to take on an army of dangerous robots.
His buff look is a million miles away from his Harry Potter physique, and as he has been linked with the role of Logan/Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe before, some comic book fans are speculating that he is showing he would be a good fit.
A selection of the Tweets from fans are below:
“Anyone who tells me Daniel Radcliffe isn’t playing Wolverine in the MCU, better have a convincing reason" - @_Fishbowlian
“Daniel RADCLIFFE should definitely get a screen test for WOLVERINE” - @ChecKtheCircuiT
"Sounds wild but the only man I can see taking that Wolverine torch from Hugh Jackman is Daniel Radcliffe" - @HoffSZN
The X-Men characters are now back in the hands of Marvel after previously being overseen by Sony over the last two decades. The likes of Wolverine, Professor X, Cyclops and Magneto are all expected to join the MCU with new actors cast in the roles.
Radcliffe probably won't play Wolverine
Radcliffe has actually commented on the Wolverine speculation before, and he believes he is only linked with the role because he is short!
"It's purely a press tour rumour; I say something, and then occasionally I get bored of answering that way so I say something different, and that sets it off again," he told GQ.
"I should just never open my mouth."
He explained that he wouldn't "ever want to get locked into something that I am not sure I will be able to love the same amount the whole time".
Radcliffe previously said on The View: "This is something that comes up every so often, I think because in the comics Wolverine is short, so every so often they're like, 'Who's a short actor?' There's never been any actual truth to it. Every so often I get bored of answering the questions sensibly, so I just make a joke... but there's nothing going on."
