It told the story of a family who live on an isolated farm in post-apocalyptic United States where they must survive in complete silence to avoid mysterious creatures who use noise as their primary sense to hunt prey.

A sequel, A Quiet Place Part II was released in 2021 and earned $297m.

Day One is a prequel that takes place over a year before the events of the first movie. There is no official premise yet, but it will focus on the initial alien invasion that left billions of humans living in silence in fear of the terrifying invaders hunting them.

It is based on an original story from John Krasinski, who wrote and directed the first two movies, with Michael Sarnoski in the director's chair for this one.

A Quiet Place: Day One stars Lupita Nyong'o, Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff, Djimon Hounsou and Denis O'Hare.
