The Wolf Song plot

The year is 1840. The trapper Sam Lash doesn't have a good reputation when it comes to women. But when Sam meets the young and temperamental Mexican Lola Salazar, he falls madly in love for the first time in his life. Lola's aristocratic father Don Solomon Salazar disapproves of the romance, so Sam kidnaps Lola and quickly leaves for the mountains with her. Both live together for a short period of time. But then Sam gets restless and seems to prefer the company of his trapper buddies Gullion and Rube over Lola's.
