The Tough Guy plot
Fred Saunders rescues little Buddy when he's in danger of being overrun by a runaway horse. Saunders becomes so attached to Buddy that he takes the boy out of the orphanage. The two manage to recover stolen money from the local church and Saunders falls in love with June, the pastor's daughter. Then suddenly little Buddy is kidnapped by a gang, led by Con Carney.
