The Red Rope plot

At the behest of rancher Grant Brade, infamous outlaw Rattler Hayne tries to prevent the marriage of ranch foreman Tom Shaw and his bride Betty Duncan, daughter of Tom's boss John "Pop" Duncan, by ambushing their pastor. When the still unmarried Tom and Betty open their wedding presents, Tom finds three bullets and a red rope from Rattler. This means that Rattler and his henchmen Red Mike and Buck Fendy are out to get him. Pop then asks Tom questions about his mysterious past.
