A group of cavalrymen led by David Devlin are brutally defeated during an attack by the Sioux. As it turns out, the ammunition delivered to the soldiers was no good. Captain Buck Devlin, David's brother, joins Sergeant John Maitland and Private Wilbur Clegg in search of Ep Clark's gang that allegedly supplied this bad ammunition.
