New Zealand, 1943. Sergeant John Stryker prepares a group of young Marines for war. Stryker is a hard and experienced man and is not gentle with the boys, who hate him. Peter especially hates him, because Stryker reminds him of his late father, who always called him a coward and claimed he wasn't man enough to become a Marine. Although Stryker tries his best, Peter remains cool and hostile. On a very dangerous assignment, Peter must team up with Stryker.
