Race against Time plot
2018. Jim's son is very ill and medical treatment is too expensive. Jim's only option is to sell his own body for a hefty amount to Lifecorps, an organization that buys the bodies of (still) living people to use their organs. The ink on the contract is still wet when Jim's son dies, but Lifecorps doesn't want to break the contract and wants Jim's body by the end of the year.
