Panic in the City plot
"A CITY EXPOSED TO THE MENACE OF THE ATOM BOMB!"
When a nuclear weapons researcher is murdered while in hospital, federal investigator Dave Pomeroy is recruited to find out who killed him and why. With the help of Dr. Paula Stevens, the assistant to the murdered scientist, finds out that Pomeroy has fallen victim to a group of communists led by the brilliant but downtrodden weapons experts August Best and Myra Pryor. Pomeroy then discovers that Best and Pryor have developed an atomic bomb for their own purposes, such as starting World War III.
