"The Corpse That Didn't Want to Die!"
Kitty (Barbara Bouchet) and Franziska (Marina Malfatti) are two young women who still feel guilty about the fatal accident of their relative Evelyn. When a dispute over their late grandfather's vast inheritance arises, a red-robed killer begins a massacre. Kitty threatens to become the last victim of the maniac and her knife.

Another strong film from Emilio Miraglia.
The story is quite original. Early on, an old legend is told about two queens who couldn't stand each other.
Kitty (Barbara Bouchet) and Evelyn, sisters and the current residents of the castle where the legend took place, also often argue.
After this gets out of hand, a woman in a red cloak starts killing Kitty's acquaintances. Kitty then slowly but surely begins to realize that she will be the last victim.
The murderess mainly uses a dagger (and once a car door) for the murders. Many of the murders can be seen on screen (something you didn't see much at the time) and are also nice and bloody.
Furthermore, the fashion world in which Kitty and Franziska (Marina Malfatti) are involved is used to show some feminine beauty and some nudity here and there.
The soundtrack was once again provided by Bruno Nicolai and is once again quite strong.
A number of other things work less well, for example the plot twists are fairly predictable this time and the macabre laugh of 'the lady in red' doesn't really come across.
Yet there is plenty to enjoy and it is especially nice to see how the Gothic of the story goes well with the present and the fashion world. And Miraglia just knows how to shoot an atmospheric picture.

Lady in Red!
What a wonderful discovery, I want to see more. 
Giallo is a subgenre that I really like.
The great asset of this giallo is that the story is not simple and that as a viewer you really have to follow the story carefully. Ultimately, this itself is negligible because you can't guess the punch line. I should have spared myself and not paid attention to those details. 
But the story is fun, fascinating, mysterious and beautifully combined with the legend of the Red and Black Queen. A nice cast with many beautiful-looking women in combination with the fashion world. Attractively presented with a lot of cool kills for that time. 7.5/10

Atmospheric giallo with visual flair and a lot of mystery. Both gothic elements and the fashionable world of models are of course reminiscent of the influence of Mario Bava. Which proves that man had good ideas. The direction is excellent and is supported with beautiful photography. Barbara Bouchet looks good and we know her from other giallo's. Bruno Nicolai's score completes it. The giallo is a universe in itself and this one meets all the criteria. Nice for enthusiasts.
