Moscow, 1981. A colonel of the KGB becomes increasingly alienated and horrified at the development of Soviet politics. He decides to turn his back on the system and with the help of a French engineer, he stands at the cradle of one of the greatest events of the century, the collapse of the Eastern bloc.
